Today in maths we decided to analyze all strands of numeracy which we could connect to the 2012 Olympic games. The children worked in pairs on the laptops to research as many types of maths skills, strategies and knowledge which they could relate to the Olympic games. Such as height,w eight, capacity, length, measurements, proportions and ratios, time and much more.... Mathematical investigations help kids connect maths to real life situations, this helps keep it meaningful and fun.
