Introducing Report Writing

Today Ms Berry asked us to get into groups of three. We all discussed our weekend finding for the question of the week (do Bolas Spiders make commercial silk?)
Each group had to use the POD to create a mini report answering the Question. We had to include diagrams and facts. Ms Berry Told us the purpose of the activity was to inform the reader so they gain knowledge and feel that it satisfies their curiosity. Because this is the start of the unit we didn't get a criteria to work with because we all need to write the criteria together after reading each groups effort and talking about what makes a good report.
We all really got into the researching side of the lesson, and learnt a lot about how to use pages and saving our stuff into our folder. It was good to work as a group too.
