Today in science we had fun exploring the biological weirdness of the mushroom. We investigated how plants convert heat and light to food (photosynthesis), and then focused on the one little oddity in the veggie kingdom the fungus!! The kids spent the afternoon discecting each body part of the mushroom, trying to understand its form and function. then we went exploring into our own garden. We found over 20 different types of mushroom. some were weird, some were wonderful - and some made us want to dry reach!! But they all added to our horticultural knowledge!!
