Resource/Activity/Product

Today during literacy, the children worked in pairs to read, classify and present information relating to our Inquiry on Natural Resources.  Each pair were given 3 sheets with muddled up lists of various resources, activities and products.  Firstly, they had to sort through them and put them into their correct categories.  Next they had to match up the resource with the products it makes and the activities which we can use that resource for.

Eg: Wind: makes electricity, kite flying, gliding, wind turbines, wind-mills.

This activity promoted: Reading, categorizing, critical thinking, co-operative, communication, debating, justifying, presentation and information skills.
