The Hitch Hiker

Today in literacy we began to create a piece of writing based on Roald Dahl's The Hitch Hiker.

The first part of the writing, and todays focus, was to write in first person and describe our vehicle.

Each child chose an image of an interesting vehicle then used a frame work to describe it in detail. Here are some wonderful examples ...

I had a new car, it was an exciting new toy. It was a Porche Xv1 2013. I had called her Thunderstorm, and she lived up to her name. This was my dream car, and now I finally had her. The body was metallic silver and gleamed in the sun, at night she shone like a star in the moonlight. Curved and streamlined she was able to reach speeds which were imagined only in your wildest dreams.  Auriel
