The Senior School Arts programme has been a huge success.
The teachers and students have been exploring works by Monet and Matisse and other impressionist and expressionist artists. We have been looking at the unique ways in which they interpreted the world around them. In particular Rm22 have been learning about the life of Henri Matisse and how his style became so amazingly sought after. He practically invented Fauvism, and is known in the art community as the 'Master of Colour".
We begun our sessions by looking closely at the different skills required to build up a piece of art, focusing of detailing and slowing down the pace. The best thing is that these skill sheets look so great they have become a work of art too.
