Through the eyes of the Cat

I looked down from the top of the hen house, watching the dictator Napoleon pause to wipe corn and milk off his lying mouth. He proceeded to walk out the farmhouse door and unleash his ruthlessness on the innocent animals cowering defenceless on the muddy field.

As the slaughter commenced, a faint smile played around Napoleon's mouth, the same mouth that had ordered the weaker animals killed so that he could have all the best food and starve the workers into slavery. All hopes of a peaceful, human-free world had been crushed, along with the pitiful lives of the animals whose bodies now lay limp and bloodied before the ruler of Animal Farm.

Napoleon was a coward, from the tip of his snotty nose to to the end of his stick like tail.Hiding behind the fangs of his dogs and Squealer's acts of deception. The animals' bad memory just made it easier for him.

If Napoleon knew the thoughts sitting silent in my mind he would send his dogs to hunt me down, I would be a fugitive, hunted by a gang of brainwashed mutts. Dogs that couldn't see past their next victim. I suppose that's why Napoleon likes them, but they don't have a hope of catching me. I am darkness and cunning combined, swifter than the wind, stealthier than a shadow creeping across a field.

This is only a taste of what I have seen and what I know. The reason I have survived this long is because I trust no one, I have no friends, and I keep my mouth firmly closed, You never know who might stab you in the back. Make yourself comfortable, and I will tell the rest of this sad tale.

It's lovely to see children's writing on the blog.
Great writing. John has really enjoyed hearing 'Animal Farm' and has been talking about it at home.
Thanks for the hard work.
