Term Three Evaluation
Is it really the end of Term 3, already? There are so many things to look forward to and so many things to look back at. This term was the busiest yet. and only half of it was written work.
One of my main enjoyments this term was the amazing production! I was lucky enough, not only to have a speaking role, but to dance with the year one’s and zero’s too. It was one of the highlights. I loved the feel on stage, the hype, the nerves, the lights, cameras, costumes! I’d do it every term if I could. Hanging out with my friends backstage was great too. The production was based on the children’s book, “The Short and Incredibly Happy life of Riley” which Ms Berry turned into a stage production. The overall message was that, as humans we need to happy with who we are, what we are and what we have. The story was told by comparing the lives of humans to the lives of (very happy) rats. It was a lot of work but very well worth it. I hope it had a good impact on the audience.
But production wasn’t even half of it. We also had the Life Education bus, indoor sports, technicraft and, we were extremely lucky to have a student teacher, Mr Hawke. Some of my favorite opportunities were the NIWA science fair, in which I was very proud to have got a High Distinction and watching the Royal Ballet school perform, it was very inspiring. There was also the normal school curriculum to be followed. Narrative for
writing and fractions for math, were 3/4’s of the way through the year, see I have been learning! What with all this happening at school, you would’ve thought there was no time for homework, but we did speeches which I LOVED presenting.
Yet as Term Three’s curtains slowly close I realise that there are some things I would like to improve for next term, some goals I would like to achieve.
I missed quite a lot of math and I need to catch up.
My proofreading needs to be improved.
And, I would quite like to be acknowledged for something at the end of next term.
I am also looking forward to the Year Eight Formal and the Abel Tasman trip.
All in all a fast, fanatic, FUN term enjoyed, I’m sure, not just by me, but everyone.
Sofija
